On Deck with the Warriors: From Freezing to Florida

The Warriors softball team is kicking off the season at the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla., over spring break. We have 10 games scheduled in the Spring Games Tournament. 

The first doubleheader on Monday found the WLC bats still cold from the frigid Wisconsin weather, but the young team grew from the experiences and found themselves ready to attack Sage College the next morning. The Warriors jumped ahead 2-0 in the first inning against Sage and tallied their first vicotry of the year, 6-4. 

Unfortunately the momentum did not follow through in the next game against Penn State Behrend. After holding them to a one-run lead, the Warriors could not get out of the inning and fell behind 4-0. The final score resulted in a 6-0 Warriors loss. The team is ready to relax on its day off and come back fighting on Thursday.
