MILWAUKEE – Justin Cromas (Greenfield, Wis./Greenfield), a former football standout and 2010 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran College, has signed a professional contract to play for the Indoor Football League's Sioux City (Iowa) Bandits, the team announced last week. Cromas signed with the team as a defensive tackle on May 18 before making the club's 21-man travel roster on May 20 for last weekend's game against the Omaha Beef. A two-time All-Northern Athletics Conference selection, Cromas played five seasons (2005-09) for the Warriors. In 39 career games, he accumulated 140 tackles, including 18.5 for a loss, four sacks, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. The IFL was created in 2008 out of the merger between the Intense Football League and United Indoor Football. With 25 teams in 16 states, it is currently the world's largest professional indoor football league. Its two largest competitors are the Arena Football League and the American Indoor Football Association. |
