Four Warriors Compete At Chicago Penultimate

CHICAGO – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men’s track & field team had four runners compete at the Chicago Penultimate on Saturday at the Ted Hayden Track at the University of Chicago.

Sophomore Nick Biancuzzo (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Milwaukee Lutheran) ran in the 400-meter dash and completed that race in a personal-best time of 51.85 to lead the Warriors on Saturday. Also running in the sprint events was freshman Mike Reeves (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) as he won his heat in the 200-meter dash and placed seventh overall with a time of 23.16.

The two other Warriors to compete on Saturday both took part in the 1,500-meter run. Freshmen Steve Van Alstine (Howards Grove, Wis./Manitowoc Lutheran) and Jack Albert (La Crosse, Wis./Luther) recorded times of 4:38.62 and 4:44.87 in the event respectively, both personal bests.

Wisconsin Lutheran will next be in action on Friday when it competes in the Augustana Twilight Qualifier in Rock Island, Ill. Events are scheduled to start at 12 p.m. at the Paul V. Olsen Track.
