Melanie Unger is in her second year as an assistant athletic trainer at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Unger provides athletic training services for 17 of the college's 18 varsity sports teams.
Unger, who is an athletic trainer at Froedtert and The Medical College of Wisconsin Sports Medicine Center, came to Wisconsin Lutheran with over five years of experience in the health care field. She has previously worked for Aurora Health Care as an emergency medical technician and athletic trainer, and as an athletic trainer for Body Mechanics, LLC.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Unger received a bachelor of science degree in athletic training in 2011. She attended Waunakee High School where she lettered in softball (four years) and basketball (two years) for the Warriors.
Unger resides today in Milwaukee.
