WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College finished fifth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's All-Sports Awards for the third straight year, while the Warriors were seventh in the Women's All-Sports Awards, the conference office announced this week.
In the men's rankings, the Warriors finished fifth among 11 league institutions with a point index of 7.778. Wisconsin Lutheran won the conference title in men's golf and finished fourth in basketball, football, and outdoor track & field. WLC also advanced to the conference tournament final for men's soccer. This marks the third straight year and fourth overall that the Warriors have finished fifth in the final awards standings, tying their best finish in the 11-year history of the league.
In the women's standings, the Warriors were seventh of 12 conference schools with an index of 6.019. WLC finished fourth in basketball and fifth in cross country.
The NACC All-Sports Awards are based on both the final conference standings of the regular season or championship, and the conference tournament finishes in the sports that offer postseason tournaments.
