Dave Ross is in his 13th season as an assistant coach with the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's and women's cross country program. Ross also serves as an assistant coach for track & field during the spring season. 

Ross has the distinction of being a member of the first intercollegiate track & field program at Wisconsin Lutheran in 1994 during his sophomore year (he raced for the club team as a freshman). He earned three varsity letters and served as team captain each of his seasons with the squad. As a junior, Ross placed fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles during the 1995 Wisconsin State Private Colleges Championships. He was the recipient of Wisconsin Lutheran's Scholar-Athlete Award his senior year.

In his final two years at Wisconsin Lutheran, Ross also ran for the cross country program.

In 1996, Ross earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry. He worked as a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry until he became the manager for the Science Hall on campus in 2004.

A 1992 graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran High School, Ross was a four-year letterwinner in track & field, specializing in hurdles and relays.

Ross was born in Manitowoc, Wis., November 17, 1973. He and his wife, Karli, live in West Allis, Wis. They have a daughter, Naomi, and son, Caleb.
