Dave Reinemann is in his second season as the defensive line coach for the Wisconsin Lutheran football team. Reinemann, a graduate and former assistant baseball coach at WLC, completed his first season as the college’s head baseball coach in 2009, compiling a 12-28 record.
Reinemann returned to his alma mater after spending five years (2003-08) teaching English and serving as the head varsity baseball and girls basketball coach at Northland Lutheran High School in Wausau, Wis.
Prior to his appointment at Northland Lutheran, Reinemann had two separate stints with the Winnebago Lutheran Academy softball and baseball programs as hitting and infield coach. He also worked alongside many current and former professional players as an instructor at Mike Heagan’s Grand Slam Baseball Camp.
Reinemann graduated from WLC in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in English. A four-year starting infielder on the WLC baseball team, he served as team captain, was named NAIA All-District, All-Lake Michigan Conference and was the recipient of the WLC Scholar-Athlete Award his senior season.
After graduation, Reinemann returned to WLC in 1994 to serve as an assistant baseball coach, responsible for hitting, defense and recruiting for one season. He went on to receive a bachelor of science degree in education from Martin Luther College in 1997.
Reinemann attended Howards Grove High School in Howards Grove, Wis., where he served as team captain of the baseball, basketball and football teams and was an All-Central Lakeshore Conference performer in baseball and football his senior year.
Reinemann, who was born February 10, 1971, in Plymouth, Wis., currently resides in St. Francis, Wis.
