Troutman Claims NACC Sacks Record, Weekly Conference Honor

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College senior defensive lineman Logan Troutman (Apopka, Fla./East Ridge) has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for the events of Nov. 7-13, as selected by the league's sports information directors. The weekly award is the first of Troutman's career and the fourth for a Warrior this season.

Troutman recorded four tackles, including two sacks, in the Warriors' 43-25 season-ending win over Concordia Chicago on Saturday. Troutman, along with teammate JD Leisemann, finished the 2016 season tied for the league lead with a school-record 11 sacks, which is also a new NACC single-season record.

Wisconsin Lutheran finished its 2016 season with a 5-5 overall record and tied for second in the NACC with a 4-2 mark. After a tough 0-4 start, the Warriors rallied to win five of their final six games.
