WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College sophomore forward Collin Kennedy (Holmen, Wis./Luther) has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the events of Feb. 13-19, as selected by the league's sports information directors. This is Kennedy's second straight conference weekly award and the fourth of his career.
Kennedy extended his double-doubles streak to six games last week, averaging 21.0 points and 15.0 rebounds per game in a pair of Warriors wins. The sophomore forward scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds in a 72-70 win over Lakeland on Tuesday. Kennedy currently ranks second in the NACC in both scoring (19.0 ppg) and rebounding (10.2 rpg).
Kennedy and the fourth-seeded Warriors (15-10, 12-8 NACC) host fifth-seeded MSOE (12-12, 11-9 NACC) in a NACC Tournament First Round game on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Links to live stats and video will be available for the game at WLCSports.com.
