MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's basketball team will play an exhibition game against the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Thursday, November 2 at the Klotsche Center. Tip-off time and ticket information will be announced as soon as it becomes available. It marks the fifth NCAA Division I opponent during the program's 35-year history.
"Our players are thrilled to compete against a top-notch program in UWM," said first-year head coach Aaron Aanonsen. "We look forward to the challenge and feel this will help us prepare for the regular season."
The Warriors, who played Marquette in an exhibition four years ago, finished 16-11 overall and 12-8 in the NACC a season ago. Wisconsin Lutheran, which advanced to the semifinals of the NACC Tournament for the first time since 2009, returns four starters from last season's lineup.
First-year head coach Pat Baldwin takes over a Panthers squad that finished 11-24 overall and 4-14 in the Horizon League last year. Milwaukee won three Horizon League Championship games last season before falling in the finals to Northern Kentucky.
