Wood's Third Place Leads WLC At Forester Spring Invite

VERNON HILLS, Ill. – Tyler Wood (Eagan, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) fired a one-over par 73 to finish third in a field of 57 golfers to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's golf team Sunday at the Forester Spring Invite at White Deer Run Golf Club. The Warriors tied for fifth out of 10 teams with a 320 (+32).

TJ Obbink (Cedar Grove, Wis./Cedar Grove-Belgium) tied for 10th with a five-over par 77. Garrett Ralston (Machesney Park, Ill./Harlem) carded an 85 (+10) to tie for 28th. Brett Morris (Burlington, Wis./Catholic Central) shot an 88 (+16), and Brandon Marth (Grafton, Wis./Grafton) carded a 95 (+23) for the Warriors.

Concordia Wisconsin claimed the top two overall finishers as PJ Clemins earned top individual honors with a two-under par 70. CUW also won the team title with a 302 (+14).

Wisconsin Lutheran next returns to the links for the NACC Championship which is scheduled for three rounds April 19-20 at Stonebridge Country Club in Aurora, Ill.
