Men's Golf Places 12th In Loaded Field At Saint John's Fall Invitational

SAUK CENTRE, Minn. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's golf team registered a 12th-place finish in a strong field of 17 teams at the Saint John's Fall Invitational Saturday and Sunday. The Warriors were led by Tim Pridemore (Hartford, Wis.), who carded a 154 (+10) over the two rounds and tied for 29th overall.

INSIDE THE SCORECARD

  • Pridemore paced the Warriors with a 79 in the first round and a team-low 75 on the second day of play for a tournament total of 154 (+10). The senior leads the Warriors and is fourth in the conference in scoring with a 77.0 average through six rounds this season.
  • Derick Disch (Greenfield, Wis.) followed Pridemore's lead with a 156 (+12), placing 43rd.
  • Damon Gnewikow (Warrens, Wis.) fired rounds of 80 and 81, registering a 161 (+17).
  • Ben Landvatter (Watertown, Wis.) carded rounds of 80 and 82 for a total of 162 (+18).
  • Johnny Kositzky Jr. (Escanaba, Mich.) posted a two-round total of 168 (80-88).
  • Individually, Quinn Schultz (Chaseburg, Wis.) totaled a 180 after rounds of 82 and 98.
  • Wisconsin Lutheran was one of six teams at the tournament mentioned in the preseason top 25 poll.

WLC RESULTS

FOR THE FOES

  • Host and 16th-ranked Saint John's claimed the low team score for the tournament, firing a 593 (304-289) over the two-day competition. The Johnnies' second-round 289 (+1) was the lowest round of the tournament.
  • Alex Uloth of Minnesota topped the tournament field, shooting one-over-par (71-74) for the tournament. Ryan Isaacson of UW-Eau Claire and Matt Lutz of Saint John's finished one stroke behind the leader with a total of 146 (+2).

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors will host the WLC Fall Invitational next Sunday and Monday at Washington County Golf Course in Hartford. WLC finished second of 13 teams at last season's tournament. First round tee time is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
