WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College's Isaiah Gronholz (Watertown, Wis.) has received postseason recognition from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, it was announced Tuesday as the awards for the 2017 men's soccer season were released by the conference office.
Gronholz was named a NACC Honorable Mention selection after leading the Warriors in several offensive categories, including goals (8), assists (4), points (20), shots (63), and shots on goal (35). The senior started all 18 contests for Wisconsin Lutheran, recording a .556 shot on goal percentage. Gronholz, who was also a NACC Honorable Mention selection a season ago, finishes his WLC career second in assists (17), fourth in goals (20), and fifth in points (57).
Dominican's Michael Delaney was named Defensive Player of the Year while Benedictine's Nick Kapetanos repeated as Offensive Player of the Year, and Aurora's Henry Zehnal was tabbed as the Freshman of the Year. Concordia Wisconsin's Tom Saleska was voted Coach of the Year by his peers.
The Warriors finished their 2017 season with a 6-11-1 overall record, including a 2-8-0 NACC record.
