Wordell Nets All-NACC Singles Nod

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College's Ben Wordell (Mequon, Wis.) has been named to the All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Singles Team, it was announced Friday as the awards for the 2018 men's tennis season were released by the conference office.

Wordell, who was named to the All-NACC Doubles Team a season ago, won four matches and posted a 3-4 conference record at the No. 1 singles position this season for the Warriors. He finished his career at WLC with 20 singles victories.

Edgewood's Evan Stone was named NACC Player of the Year while, Concordia Wisconsin's Nolan Rademacher was tabbed Freshman of the Year. CUW's Steve Anschutz was selected as the conference's Coach of the Year.

Wisconsin Lutheran finished its 2018 season 4-15 overall and 4-4 in the NACC. The Warriors made their sixth consecutive appearance in the NACC Tournament and posted at least a .500 conference record for the fifth time in the last six seasons.
