DE PERE, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team finished ninth at the St. Norbert Invitational Saturday at Schneider Stadium.
Chase Robles (New Berlin, Wis./West) placed sixth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:20.65 to record the highest finish of the day for WLC.
Sam Wallace (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran), Isaac Hill (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran), Jacob Jodat (Pewaukee, Wis./Waukesha North), Kyle McBee (Monroe, Mich./Lutheran South), and Josh Eickhoff (Manitowoc, Wis./Lutheran) also competed in the event for the Warriors.
Jared Bruemmer (Hanover Park, Ill./Hoffman Estates) finished eighth in the 400 meters with a time of 53.58. He also took home seventh in the long jump with a distance of 5.99 meters and 10th in javelin with a mark of 36.53 meters.
Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) was ninth in the 800 meters in 2:06.73
Wisconsin Lutheran's two 4x400-meter relay teams finished ninth (3:46.59) and 10th (3:54.13), respectively.
For the field events, Jeremy Fierros (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) was ninth in pole vault with a height of 3.50 meters. He also competed in the discus and recorded a mark of 22.22 meters. Andrew Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) also competed in the discus and registered a throw of 30.56 meters. He was also seventh in the shot put (12.11 meters), and 10th in the hammer throw (33.73 meters).
Mitchell Schneider (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) leaped a distance of 5.64 meters for 11th in the long jump.
UW-River Falls won the meet with 156 points.
Wisconsin Lutheran will compete at the Private College Championships hosted by St. Norbert next Saturday at Schneider Stadium. Field events begin at 10:30 a.m. with running events to follow at 11:30 a.m.
