Warriors Finish Fifth At Green And White Invite

SOMERS, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's indoor track & field team scored points in six different events on its way to a fifth-place finish out of seven scoring teams on Saturday afternoon at the Green and White Invite hosted by UW-Parkside.

THE BASICS

  • Final Results: 5th of 7, 41 Points
  • Location: Petretti Fieldhouse, Somers, Wis.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Warriors posted a trio of second-place finishes on the day, including Caleb Tomlin (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Luther Preparatory) in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.58, Adam Pagel (Kenosha, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) in the weight throw with a toss of 9.72 meters, and the Warriors' 4x400-meter relay team with a time of 3:39.87.
  • Running against their own time, the Warriors' distance medley relay team crossed the finish line in 12:20.36 to bring home 10 points.
  • Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich./Luther Preparatory) placed fourth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.08 and Jared Traver (Janesville, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) was seventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.29 meters.
  • Wisconsin Lutheran's 41 points placed them eight points behind fourth-place Elmhurst.
  • Invite host UW-Parkside won the event with 144 points, 32.5 points better than runner-up MSOE.

  • The Warriors return to UW-Parkside next Saturday for the Parkside Classic. Events begin at 10:00 a.m. inside the Petretti Fieldhouse.
