Men's Track & Field Finishes Sixth At Parkside Classic

SOMERS, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's indoor track & field team scored 27 points and finished sixth out of 11 scoring teams on Saturday at the Parkside Classic inside Petretti Fieldhouse.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Warriors' 4x400-meter relay team placed second with a finishing time of 3:45.26.
  • Running against their own time, the Warriors' distance medley relay team finished with a first-place time of 11:46.31.
  • Caleb Tomlin (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Luther Preparatory) took fourth place in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:28.16. Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) also ran the 600-meter race and finished in fifth place with a time of 1:31.37.
  • TJ McBryde (Zumbrota, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran), Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich./Luther Preparatory), and Caleb Hintz (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) finished one spot out of a scoring position in the 400-meter dash, 55-meter hurdles, and long jump, respectively, for WLC.
  • Marquette won the overall event with 153 points, 12 points better than host runner-up UW-Parkside.

  • The Warriors travel to Platteville next Saturday for the UW-Platteville Invitational. Events begin at 11:00 a.m. inside Williams Fieldhouse.
