Warriors Finish Eighth At Private College Championships

RIPON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's outdoor track & field team competed on Saturday at the Private College Championships at Ingalls Field. The Warriors finished eighth out of 12 scoring teams with 43 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Jordan Donart's (De Pere, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) 800-meter time of 2:01.92 was good for a third-place finish.
  • Jacob Jodat (Pewaukee, Wis./Waukesha North) finished third in the 1500-meter run in a time of 4:10.15.
  • Jonah Jahns (Germantown, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.05 seconds. 
  • The Warriors' 4x400-meter relay team finished third in a time of 3:33.99 and the 4x100-meter relay team was fourth in 46.79 seconds.
  • Javier Cano-Telles (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) finished fifth in the 5000-meter run crossing the line in 16:44.76. Brady Stuck (Germantown, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) placed eighth in the same event with a personal-best time of 17:17.43.
  • Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich./Luther Preparatory) competed in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing fourth with a personal-best time of 17.03 seconds. He also finished fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in 61.24 seconds.
  • Jared Bruemmer (Hanover Park, Ill./Hoffman Estates) threw 37.83 meters in the javelin for eighth place.
  • St. Norbert won four events and totaled 151 points to win the team title.

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors will compete next Thursday at the St. Norbert Twilight. Events begin at 2:00 p.m. inside Schneider Stadium.
