Men's Track & Field Places Third At Green & White Invitational

SOMERS, Wis. ( - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's indoor track & field team scored points in 11 different events on its way to a third-place finish out of six scoring teams Saturday afternoon at the Green and White Invitational hosted by UW-Parkside.

  • Running against their own time, the Warriors' distance medley relay team crossed the finish line in 12:00.77 to bring home 10 points.
  • The Warriors 4x400-meter relay team also placed first with a time of 3:35.08.
  • Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis.) and Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis.) placed first and second in the 600-meter run with times of 1:30.16 and 1:39.53, respectively.
  • Ethan Ortiz (Milwaukee, Wis.) placed first in the pole vault with a height of 3.40 meters. Ortiz also competed in the long jump placing seventh with a distance of 5.11 meters.
  • Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich.) finished second in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.22 and placed third in the 400-meter dash in a time of 54.14.
  • Brady Stuck (Germantown, Wis.) finished sixth in the mile in a time of 5:07.19.
  • Jared Traver (Janesville, Wis.) placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.25 meters.
  • Jared Bruemmer (Hanover Park, Ill.) threw a distance of 10.75 meters in the shot put, good for sixth place.
  • Adam Pagel (Kenosha, Wis.) placed sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 10.20 meters and eighth in the shot put with a throw of 9.18 meters.
  • Ripon won the team title with 96 points besting second-place Elmhurst by two points.


  • The Warriors travel to Ripon next Saturday for the Red Hawk Invite. Events begin at 11:00 a.m. inside the Willmore Center.
