Bornschlegl's Second-Place Finish Leads Warriors At WPCC

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team placed eighth out of 10 scoring teams Saturday at the Wisconsin Private College Championships inside the Dennis Punches Track & Field Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Sasha Bornschlegl (Rochester, Minn.) threw to a second-place finish in the shot put with a distance of 12.76 meters. Bornschlegl also placed eighth in the discus throw with a mark of 31.81 meters.
  • Elijah Tesch (Sun Prairie, Wis.) raced to a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:07.61.
  • Jared Bruemmer (Hanover Park, Ill.) placed fourth in both the high jump with a height of 1.65 meters and the javelin throw with a distance of 44.83 meters. Bruemmer also raced to a seventh-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 19.63 seconds.
  • Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) placed fifth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:37.16.
  • Joel Schamber (Wyoming, Mich.) finished fifth in both the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.33 seconds and the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:01.20.
  • Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis.) ran to a sixth-place finish in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:27.08.
  • Adam Pagel (Kenosha, Wis.) threw a distance of 35.61 meters in the hammer throw, good for an eighth-place finish.
  • Concordia Wisconsin won the 10-team championship with 107 points. 

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors travel next Friday and Saturday to Lisle, Ill., for the Benedictine Relays. Events begin at 12:00 p.m. both days inside the Village of Lisle-Benedictine Sports Complex.
