Jahns' School Record, Top Time Earns NACC Weekly Honor

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College's Jonah Jahns (Germantown, Wis.) has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athlete of the Week for the events of April 16-22, as selected by the league's sports information directors. This is the first career conference weekly award for the Warriors' sophomore.

Jahns won the 400-meter dash Saturday at the Dubuque Invitational with a personal-best time of 48.62, good for the top time in the NACC and 23rd nationally this season. The sophomore also was second of 36 in the 200-meter dash with a school-record time of 22.02, which ranks third in the NACC. The Warriors finished sixth out of 11 teams at the event. 

Jahns and the Warriors will compete Saturday at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet. Events begin at 11:00 a.m. on the Rex Foster Track.
