CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's cross country team traveled to Center Valley, Pennsylvania to race at the DeSales Invitational Saturday morning. The Warriors placed 9th out of 28 scoring teams with 240 points with Jacob Jodat (Pewaukee, Wis.) leading the team with a first-place finish in the large 271-runner field in a season-best 8K time of 25:52.8.

WARRIORS TOP FIVE PERFORMERS

  • Jodat topped the field of 271 runners with his second first-place finish of the year in a season-best time of 25:52.8.
  • Javier Cano-Telles (Milwaukee, Wis.) also finished in a season-best time of 27:30.3, good for a 35th-place finish.
  • Chris Krahn (De Pere, Wis.) also ran a season-best 8K time of 28:13.6 to place 71st.
  • Jordan Donart (De Pere, Wis.) crossed the finish line a few steps behind Krahn in 76th with a time of 28:20.9.
  • Daniel Bronner (Hartland, Wis.) rounded out the Warriors' top five in a time of 28:32.0, good for an 81st-place finish.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

  • Jodat took home the individual title with his 8K time of 25:52.8 for his third career win and second this season. His time was good for 10th-fastest overall program history.
  • Messiah had six of its runners finish inside the top 18 to claim the 28-team scoring title with 39 points.

UP NEXT

  • Wisconsin Lutheran will race next Saturday, October 14 at the Private College Championships in Watertown. The 8K race is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start time at Brandt-Quirk Park.
