Warriors Even NACC Record With Win Over Sabres

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team defeated Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference opponent Marian (2-5, 2-3 NACC) 6-3 Tuesday at Riverside Park to even its record to 2-2 in conference play.

At No. 1 singles, Kendall Bonnin (Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph's) defeated Ann Goyke 6-0, 6-0. Also notching wins in singles play were Bethany Soderlund (De Pere, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) (6-1, 6-1) and Emily Leistekow (La Crosse, Wis./Luther Preparatory) (6-3, 6-3).

Following a 3-3 draw after singles competition, the Warriors swept all three doubles matches. At No. 1, Bonnin and Kalyn Geddes (Bend, Ore./Luther Preparatory) earned an 8-6 win over Goyke and Brynn Hartzell. The teams of Petra Krause (Oshkosh, Wis./West)/Soderlund and Amanda Pearson (Prairie du Sac, Wis./Luther Preparatory)/Leistekow also picked up victories by scores of 8-4 and 8-1.

Wisconsin Lutheran (2-5, 2-2 NACC) plays two more conference matches on the road Saturday in suburban Chicago. The Warriors play at Dominican (2-5, 2-4 NACC) at 10 a.m. and Concordia Chicago (1-4, 1-3 NACC) at 2 p.m.
