Women's Tennis Falls To CUW, 8-1

MEQUON, Wis. - Sophomore Kendall Bonnin (Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph's) improved her conference singles record to a perfect 7-0, but the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team fell 8-1 to Concordia Wisconsin Monday at North Shore Country Club. WLC is 3-7 overall and 3-4 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference matches.

Bonnin, the Warriors' No. 1 singles player, defeated Jessica Sapp 6-0, 6-0 and remains unbeaten in NACC singles play.

In doubles play, the No. 1 team of Bonnin and Kalyn Geddes (Bend, Ore./Luther Preparatory) lost 8-4. The No. 2 doubles team of Amanda Pearson (Prairie du Sac, Wis./Luther Preparatory) and Bethany Soderlund (De Pere, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) dropped a tight 8-6 match.

Geddes was held off in the No. 3 singles spot for a 6-3, 7-6 defeat. Soderlund fell 6-3, 6-3 in No. 4 singles.

WLC (3-7, 3-4 NACC) will host NACC action Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. when Alverno (1-6, 1-4 NACC) visits Hart Park.
