Women's Track & Field Fourth At Parkside

SOMERS, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Kiana Granath (Lodi, Wis./Lodi) accounted for 20 of the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's indoor track & field team's 52 points on Saturday as the Warriors finished fourth out of eight scoring teams at the Green and White Invite hosted by UW-Parkside.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Warriors distance medley relay team topped two other teams to bring home a first-place finish after their time of 14:34.41.
  • Granath won the high jump by clearing a height of 1.45 meters. She also placed third in the 55-meter hurdles (9.70) and fifth in the shot put (8.55 meters).
  • Jessica Stumpner (Crystal Lake, Ill./South) turned in a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:11.26.
  • Hannah Weide (New Berlin, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) was third in the mile run with a time of 5:50.75.
  • Sami Huebner (Sun Prairie, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) placed fourth in the shot put with a toss of 8.93 meters.
  • Debbie Miller (Mazeppa, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa) and Cassie Balts (Barron, Wis./Barron) also scored points for the Warriors, with Miller recording a seventh-place finish in the long jump (4.62 meters) and Balts placing eighth in the 3000 meters (11:36.39).
  • North Park won the invite with 118 points, five more than runner-up MSOE's 113 points. 

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors will remain at UW-Parkside next Saturday for the Parkside Classic. Events begin at 10:00 a.m. inside the Petretti Fieldhouse.
