Women's Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season At Carroll

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team placed eighth out of 11 scoring teams on Saturday at its outdoor season-opening Carroll Pioneer Invitational at the Dennis Punches Track & Field Complex.

THE BASICS

  • Final Results: 8th of 11, 27.5 Points
  • Location: Dennis Punches Track & Field Complex, Waukesha, Wis.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Kristina Schuette (Manitowoc, Wis./Lutheran) placed third in the 3000-meter steeplechase in a time of 14:27.58.
  • The Warriors' top 4x400-meter relay team finished fourth in a time of 4:25.65.
  • Kiana Granath (Lodi, Wis./Lodi) finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.84 seconds. She also placed fourth in the high jump with a height of 1.55 meters and eighth in the javelin throw after a distance of 25.64 meters.
  • Leah Rosenow (Temecula, Calif./California Lutheran) placed fourth in both the long jump (4.98 meters) and triple jump (10.06 meters). 
  • Debbie Miller (Mazeppa, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa) also competed in the triple jump and finished eighth with a mark of 9.79 meters.

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors travel to Ripon next Saturday for the Private College Championships. Events begin at 10:30 a.m. on Ingalls Field.
