Huebner's Record Leads Warriors At UW-Platteville Invitational

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Sami Huebner (Sun Prairie, Wis.) led the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's indoor track & field team with a new 400-meter dash record of 1:01.21 at the UW-Platteville Invitational inside the Williams Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon. No team scores were recorded at the meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Huebner sprinted to a second-place finish out of 36 competitors and set a new 400-meter dash school record with a time of 1:01.21 beating out the old record held by Ellen Schwartz of 1:01.46. Huebner's record time ranks fourth in the NACC this season.
  • The Warriors distance medley relay consisting of Siobhan Heiss (Beloit, Wis.), Becca Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.), Hannah Weide (New Berlin, Wis.), and Kailey Acra (Dupo, Ill.) placed sixth with a time of 14:24.98.
  • Kiana Granath (Lodi, Wis.) finished sixth in the high jump by clearing a height of 1.45 meters.

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors will compete next Saturday at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Tune-Up. Events begin at 10:00 a.m. from inside the Klotsche Center.
