Warriors Place Eighth At Private College Championships

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's track & field team placed eighth out of 10 scoring teams Saturday at the Wisconsin Private College Championships inside the Dennis Punches Track & Field Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Sami Huebner (Sun Prairie, Wis.) raced to a third-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 17.01 seconds and 1:09.36, respectively.
  • Kiana Granath (Lodi, Wis.) finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17:26 seconds. Granath also competed in the javelin throw and threw a distance of 28.39 meters, good for sixth place.
  • Hannah Weide (New Berlin, Wis.) placed seventh in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 20:14.89. Weide also ran to an eighth-place finish in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:36.23.
  • Siobhan Heiss (Beloit, Wis.) ran a time of 5:22.10 in the 1,500-meter run, good for seventh place.
  • Kendra Schumacher (Little Chute, Wis.) finished eighth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:05.20.
  • Leah Rosenow (Temecula, Calif.) placed fifth in the long jump with a distance of 4.99 meters and ninth in triple jump at 9.95 meters.
  • St. Norbert won the 10-team championship with 147 points, eight more than runner-up and host Carroll.

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors travel next Friday and Saturday to Lisle, Ill., for the Benedictine Relays. Events begin at 12:00 p.m. both days inside the Village of Lisle-Benedictine Sports Complex.
