MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Sophomore Kaitlyn Shadoski (Janesville, Wis.) tied a season-high with 17 points and the 23rd-ranked Wisconsin Lutheran College women's basketball team held off fellow league unbeaten St. Norbert for a 50-47 win on Tuesday night inside the Recreation Complex. The Warriors improved their record to 10-0 for the second time in program history with the win.

A pair of free throws from senior Jenna Mace (Wisconsin Dells, Wis.) gave the Warriors a 10-8 lead at the 3:21 mark, but the Green Knights closed the period on a 7-2 run to take a 15-12 advantage into the second quarter.
  • WLC scored the first five points of the second stanza to jump in front 17-15. The remainder of the period once again showcased three lead changes and a pair of ties. SNC netted the final five points of the second quarter over the final 4:20 to take a 24-20 lead into halftime.
  • St. Norbert maintained a slim lead for the majority of the third quarter until an 8-0 Wisconsin Lutheran scoring run, capped by a Mace three-pointer, gave the hosts a 34-30 lead and forced a timeout. The Green and White went into the final frame with a 34-32 lead.
  • A Green Knights three-pointer within the first minute of the fourth quarter gave them a 35-34 advantage. But another 8-0 scoring run for the Warriors put them ahead by their biggest margin, 42-35, with 6:24 remaining in the game. WLC led 46-41 after two more Mace free throws with 0:34 seconds left. Shadoski answered an SNC three with two additional makes from the charity stripe for a four-point lead with just 0:21 ticks showing.
  • St. Norbert sunk another triple to close within a point with 0:11 seconds left, but senior Kalies Birkholz (Watertown, Wis.) drained two free throws to extend the lead back to three with eight seconds on the clock. A final three-point attempt was unsuccessful just before time expired as Wisconsin Lutheran held on for the three-point win.
