KENOSHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2023 indoor track & field season on Saturday at the Firebird First Invitational hosted by Carthage. The Warriors finished ninth with 11 points.
Sophomore
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) was WLC's top-scoring finisher on the afternoon, placing fourth out of 19 competitors in the 800m. Herried posted a time of 2:01.75 in the event.
Junior
Peyton Hartman (Montgomery, Ill.) recorded a seventh-place finish in the Mile with a time of 4:39.11, good for a personal-best mark.
Invite host Carthage won six events and scored 191.5 points to take home the team title.
Wisconsin Lutheran returns to Kenosha next Saturday for the Lake Michigan Open hosted by UW-Parkside.Â
