KENOSHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College scored in six events for a fourth-place finish on Saturday at the Lake Michigan Open at UW-Parkside's Petretti Fieldhouse. The Warriors scored 33 points in their second event of the indoor season.
WLC's Distance Medley Relay took home the team's lone first-place finish on Saturday. The team of junior
Jaden Schultz (Havana, Ill.), freshman
Michael Miller (Waukesha, Wis.), sophomore
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.), and freshmanÂ
Josh Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) finished in 11:16.68.
Wisconsin Lutheran also scored a second-place finish in the 4x400m Relay with a time of 3:42.87.Â
Juniors
Zeke Micheel (Salt Lake City, Utah) and
Peyton Hartman (Montgomery, Ill.) placed fourth and fifth in the 3000m with times of 8:53.91 and 9:05.26, respectively.
Josh Staggs also came in eighth in the event with a time of 9:19.95.
Freshman
Andy Liu (Bay City, Mich.) leaped to a fourth-place finish in the Long Jump with a season-best mark of 5.75m.
Herried finished sixth out of 21 competitors in the Mile with a personal-best time of 4:36.25.Â
Freshman
Benjamin Kopplin (Watertown, Wis.) was fifth in the Weight Throw (9.05m) and eighth in the Shot Put (9.46m).
Meet host UW-Parkside won 10 events and scored 210.50 points to win the team title.
The Warriors return to action next Friday, January 27 for the Aurora Grand Prix at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track and Field Center in Chicago, Illinois. Events begin at 11 a.m.
