ROCKFORD, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College shot a season-high 49.2 percent and 14 players found the scoring column in a 79-37 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference road win over Rockford on Saturday at the Seaver Center.
The Warriors (8-5, 5-1 NACC) found themselves trailing the Regents (2-11, 1-5 NACC) 4-3 at the 6:34 mark of the first quarter. However, WLC scored 16 consecutive points and held RU scoreless for the remainder of the opening quarter for a 19-4 lead. Wisconsin Lutheran out-scored Rockford 10-2 in the paint and held them to 0-for-9 from the floor to finish the period.

Meggie Scott (Yorkville, Ill.) canned another triple just before the buzzer for a 38-13 lead. Wisconsin Lutheran once again out-scored the Regents 10-2 in the paint while holding them to just two made buckets in the quarter.
The Warriors used a big third quarter of 23 points while shooting over 57 percent to blow the game open. Separate scoring runs of 10-0 and 11-1 pushed the lead to 41 points at 61-20 at the end of the period. Five different players made three-pointers in the quarter, including sophomore
Ainsley Howard (Jefferson, Wis.) whose trifecta in the final minute of the quarter tipped the lead over 40 points.
WLC carried its solid shooting into the fourth quarter, hitting on 53.8 percent of its shots and out-scoring RU 18-17. Wisconsin Lutheran's lead reached a game-high 44 points with 1:31 left following sophomore
Alyssa London's (Freeport, Ill.) three-pointer. The Warriors still held Rockford to just four made field goals in the final frame.
Hogenson finished with a team-high 12 points on four threes, while Scott totaled 10 points, eight assists, and four rebounds. Sophomore

Sam Leisemann (Fall River, Wis.) grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. WLC shot a season-best 49.2 percent (30-for-61) from the floor, while also registering season-highs for threes (12), assists (21), and blocked shots (four).
Katie Paredes scored a game-high 13 points for the Regents, who were held to 23.3 percent (10-for-43) shooting for the game.Â
