Ella Ten Pas (Oostburg, Wis.) posted 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead Wisconsin Lutheran College to a 61-44 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular season finale road win over Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday at Hotchkin Arena.
The Warriors (18-7, 15-3 NACC), who locked up the second seed and a first round bye in the NACC Tournament, led wire-to-wire en route to their 25th straight win over the Raiders (7-18, 6-12 NACC).
WLC jumped out to a 7-0 lead over MSOE with 4:10 left in the first quarter after a three from sophomore
Haley Ott (Germantown, Wis.). Milwaukee School of Engineering closed to within two points twice, including 12-10, but a three from freshman
Paige Werner (Neenah, Wis.) gave Wisconsin Lutheran a 15-10 lead after one quarter.
The Warriors scored the first 11 points of the second quarter to open a 16-point lead. Ten Pas, who netted 11 points in the period, stretched the advantage to 19 points following a pair of free throws with 2:42 left. WLC went into halftime ahead 37-21 after shooting 41.7 percent in the frame, its best of the game.
Back-to-back baskets to start the third quarter gave Wisconsin Lutheran a 20-point lead at 41-21. A 10-0 scoring run by the Raiders brought them within 10 points at 44-34 with 3:16 remaining, but the Warriors scored four straight to finish the quarter in front 50-36.
WLC scored the first six points of the fourth quarter, matching its 20-point advantage from early in the third. Sophomore
Madi Manson (Arvada, Colo.) put Wisconsin Lutheran in front by a game-high 21 points at 61-40 after her free throw at the 2:34 mark.
Ten Pas led all players with 17 points and 13 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season. Ott and fellow sophomore
Kara Troxel (Bonduel, Wis.) added nine and eight points, respectively. The Warriors shot 36.4 percent (20-for-55) for the game, but dominated the glass 44-28.
Nina Perl was the lone player in double figures with 11 points for MSOE, which 30.8 percent (16-for-52) for the game.
