MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College shot above 55 percent over the first three quarters and led by as many as 40 points in an 81-41 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference victory over Alverno on Wednesday at Reiman Gymnasium.
The Warriors (16-6, 13-2 NACC), who won their eighth straight game, sprinted out to a 16-2 first-quarter lead over the Inferno (2-19, 0-15 NACC) with 2:11 left after sophomore
Madi Manson's (Arvada, Colo.) jumper. WLC, which led by as many as 15 in the opening period, took a 19-6 lead into the second quarter after shooting 53.3 percent.
Wisconsin Lutheran started the second quarter with an 8-1 scoring run to build its first 20-point lead following two of sophomore

The Warriors netted the first 12 points of the third quarter for a commanding 54-19 lead at the 5:57 mark. WLC, which made 10 of its 16 shot attempts for 62.5 percent, was led by junior
Sam Leisemann's (Fall River, Wis.) 10 third-quarter points. Wisconsin Lutheran extended its lead to a game-high 40 points twice in the quarter before heading to the final frame with a 68-29 lead.
WLC's lead never dropped below 33 points in the fourth quarter, as its scored the final seven points of the game over the last 1:13 to come away with the 81-41 victory.
Leisemann led all scorers with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting in just 14 minutes. Troxel totaled 14 points, the only other player in double figures. Sophomore
Ella Ten Pas (Oostburg, Wis.) and freshman
Paige Werner (Neenah, Wis.) added nine points each. Ten Pas pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and junior
Meggie Scott (Yorkville, Ill.) dished out a game-high six assists. Wisconsin Lutheran finished the game shooting 48.3 percent (29-for-60).
Morgan Whitten scored 11 points to lead Alverno, which shot 25.4 percent (15-for-59) for the game.
