MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2023 outdoor season on Saturday at the Rhodes Invitational at Wolfe Track and Field Complex.
Junior
Jaden Schultz (Havana, Ill.) was runner-up in the 3,000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:54.43.
Junior
August Davis (Springfield, Ill.) placed third in the High Jump with a mark of 1.72m, and fourth in the Javelin with a distance of 24.79m.
In the Mile, junior
Zeke Micheel (Salt Lake City, Utah) finished third with a time of 4:28.06, and sophomore
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) came in fifth with a time of 4:36.61.
Freshman
Abuchi Osuala (Milwaukee, Wis.) took fifth in the 100m with a time of 11.54 seconds.
Junior
Ryan Klibowitz (Butler, Wis.) placed fifth in the 200m with a time of 23.62Â seconds, and seventh in the 400m in 53.19 seconds.
Sophomore
Devin Splinter (Ixonia, Wis.) placed in a trio of field events, as he was fifth in the Shot Put (10.11m), sixth with a personal-best in the Hammer (30.97m), and eighth in the Discus (27.62m).
Freshman
Jack Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) finished sixth in the 5,000m with a time of 16:17.70.
Freshman
Andy Liu (Bay City, Mich.) was seventh in Long Jump (5.49m) and seventh in the 200m (24.79).Â
In the 4x800m Relay, Herried, Schultz, freshman
Josh Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.), and freshman
Ray Woller (Mount Horeb, Wis). won the event with a time of 8:19.59.Â
The Warriors compete next Saturday at the Private College Championships at the Dennis Punches Track and Field Complex in Waukesha. Events begin at 10 a.m.
