JOLIET, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - Six members of the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's track & field team competed in a pair of last chance meets across a three-day span this weekend.Â
At the North Central Carius-Gregory Invitational on Thursday and Friday, sophomore
Isaiah Herried (Necedah, Wis.) ran a personal-best time of 1:56.74 for 15th place in the 800m, the fastest time of the season by a Warrior. Junior
Zeke Micheel (Salt Lake City, Utah) placed third in the 3,000m Steeplechase in a time of 9:32.48.
At Friday and Saturday's St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite, junior
Jaden Schultz (Havana, Ill.) posted a personal-best time of 4:10.92 in the 1,500m for 16th place. Freshmen
Josh Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) and
Jack Staggs (Oostburg, Wis.) finished 25th and 26th with times of 4:19.71 and 4:21.19, respectively. Junior
Peyton Hartman (Montgomery, Ill.) finished 12th in the 10,000m with a time of 32:29.22.
WLC will compete next week in its final last chance meets of the 2023 outdoor season.
