MADISON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Third-seeded Wisconsin Lutheran College suffered a 5-0 season-ending setback to second-seeded Edgewood on Friday in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament Semifinal match at Quann Park.
The Warriors (9-9), who made their fourth straight appearance in a NACC Tournament Semifinal match, fell behind 3-0 to the Eagles (15-6) after doubles play. Seniors
Izzy Hawley (Allen Park, Mich.) and
Sky Pope (Macon, Ga.) dropped a close match at No. 2 doubles to Madelyn Connaughty and Ellie Murphy, 8-4. Edgewood picked up straight set victories at No. 1 and No. 5 singles, before the contests at No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 went unfinished.
WLC wrapped up its 2023-2024 season 9-9 overall and 7-2 for third place in the NACC.
