Buckoski Named NACC Men's Golf Student-Athlete Of The Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College's Alex Buckoski (Kaukauna, Wis.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 12-18, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. This is Buckoski's first career conference weekly award.

Buckoski earned medalist honors at the 2026 NACC Championships, played Oct. 10-12 at Blackwolf Run in Kohler. The junior posted five birdies on his way to a final-round 2-under 70, finishing with rounds of 73, 74, and 70 for a 1-over 217 total to claim the title by one stroke over Aurora's Caleb Negley. He became just the third WLC men's golfer to earn NAC/NACC medalist honors, joining Danny Behm in Fall 2007 and Jacob Mortell in 2015-2016.

The Warriors, who tied for third at the conference championships, will resume their schedule in the spring.
