MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2026 outdoor season by breaking a pair of school records at the non-scoring Rhodes Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Crain Field.
Sophomore
Patrick Manning-Davis Jr. (Dallas, Texas) broke the 100m school record after finishing second out of 37 with a time of 10.64 seconds. Teammate, senior
Abuchi Osuala (Milwaukee, Wis.), held the previous school record of 10.80 seconds from May 4, 2024.

Caleb Schreiber (Mukwonago, Wis.), junior
Tyler Kleinhans (Fall Creek, Wis.), and freshman
Sam Splinter (Ixonia, Wis.) won the event in a school-record time of 8:00.05. The group bested the previous school record of 8:19.59 from March 5, 2023.
Sophomore
Caden Strubbe (Madison, Wis.) finished fifth in the 200m with a time of 22.74 seconds. Sophomore
DeShawn Wells (Sioux City, Iowa) was seventh in the 400m Hurdles in 1:16.11.
WLC's 4x100m Relay of Manning-Davis Jr., Strubbe, junior
Brightson Namutenda (Houston, Texas), and Osuala was third in 42.96 seconds, while the 4x400m Relay of senior
Isaiah Krenek (Aurora, Ill.), Strubbe, Schreiber, and Splinter also was third in 3:35.02.
Freshman
Carson Frisch (Johnson Creek, Wis.) was sixth in the High Jump at 1.73m, and sophomore
Cameron Vahldick (Bridgeview, Ill.) was seventh in the Javelin at 39.79m.
Wisconsin Lutheran next competes on Saturday, March 28 at the Carroll University Alumni & Open in Waukesha. Field and running events start at 10 a.m.
