RIPON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College concluded its 2026 indoor season this weekend with a trio of last chance events at Carthage, UW-Platteville, and Ripon.
Carthage Firebird Finale
Freshmen
Vaughn Miller (West Allis, Wis.) and
Will Kesting (Neosho, Wis.) recorded personal bests in the 3,000m. Miller was sixth in 9:15.75, while Kesting was 10th in 9:39.94. Freshman
Nathan Kugler (Milwaukee, Wis.) was 21st in the Shot Put in 8.50m and 21st in the Weight Throw in a personal-best 8.75m.
UW-Platteville Final Qualifying Meet
Senior
Abuchi Osuala (Milwaukee, Wis.) was second in the 60m in 6.87 seconds. Sophomore
Patrick Manning-Davis Jr. (Dallas, Texas) was third in 6.98 seconds. Junior
Brightson Namutenda (Houston, Texas) was 16th in a personal-best 7.50 seconds. Namutenda was also seventh in the 200m in 24.10 seconds. Senior
Isaiah Krenek (Aurora, Ill.) was second in the 400m in 52.59 seconds.
Ripon NCAA Final Qualifier
Namutenda was fifth in the 60m Hurdles prelims with a time of 10.84 seconds. Krenek was 11th in the Long Jump at 5.60m.
The Warriors open their 2026 outdoor season March 20-21 at the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis, Tennessee.
