DECATUR, Ill. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College turned in a strong showing on Friday at the Big Blue Alumni Invite, highlighted by a pair of school records in the 4x100m Relay and 4x400m Relay at Frank M. Lindsay Field.
The Warriors were led by their 4x100m Relay team of sophomore
Patrick Manning-Davis Jr. (Dallas, Texas), sophomore
Sam Ehlke (Jackson, Wis.), sophomore
Caden Strubbe (Madison, Wis.), and senior
Abuchi Osuala (Milwaukee, Wis.), who captured first place with a school-record time of 41.82. The mark currently sits No. 64 in NCAA Division III.

Isaiah Krenek (Aurora, Ill.), freshman
Sam Splinter (Ixonia, Wis.), freshman
Caleb Schreiber (Mukwonago, Wis.), and Strubbe also topped the six-team field with a school-record time of 3:21.69. The foursome shattered the previous school record of 3:29.27 from 2018.
Osuala paced Wisconsin Lutheran in the sprints with a pair of top-five finishes, taking second in the 100m in 10.74 and fifth in the 200m with a personal-best 22.15. Manning-Davis Jr. added a fourth-place finish in the 100m in 11.02, while Ehlke placed seventh with a personal-best 11.31. Strubbe also posted a top-five finish in the 200m, placing fourth in a personal-best 22.13.
Sophomore
Evan Hadler (Cedarburg, Wis.) turned in a seventh-place finish in the 400m, clocking a season-best 52.23.
In the field events, freshman
Carson Frisch (Johnson Creek, Wis.) cleared a personal-best 1.85m to finish second in the High Jump. Sophomore
Nathan Stafford (Neenah, Wis.) placed fourth in the Pole Vault after clearing 4.05m, while Krenek took fifth in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.98m.
Additional personal-best performances for the Warriors came from junior
Brightson Namutenda (Houston, Texas) in the 100m (11.62).
WLC competes at the St. Norbert Invitational tomorrow in De Pere. Field events begin at 9:30 a.m. and running events start at 11:30 a.m. Live results can be found at WLCSports.com.
