WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped a 7-0 non-conference match to St. Ambrose on Friday at Hart Park.

The Fighting Bees (3-1) swept doubles play to take the opening point from the Warriors (1-3). Senior Maddy Olson (Onalaska, Wis.) and freshman Bryce Banick (Wichita, Kan.) fell 6-1 at No. 1 doubles to Chiara Aguirre and Xiomara Aguirre Cortez. Sophomores Addie Prochazka (Sussex, Wis.) and Annaliese Bruns (Onalaska, Wis.) were defeated 6-0 by Catherine Meystrik and Yeva Shershan at No. 2 doubles. Junior Tai Mitchell (Elm Grove, Wis.) and freshman Leah Moen (Oshkosh, Wis.) dropped a 6-2 decision to Lucy Kraft and Megan Ardaugh at No. 3 doubles.

SAU carried its momentum into singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Banick turned in WLC's closest singles effort at No. 4, taking four games in the opening set before falling to Shershan 6-4, 6-1. Olson was defeated by Aguirre 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while Prochazka fell to Meystrik by the same score at No. 2.

Mitchell dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision to Aguirre Cortez at No. 3 singles. Bruns was defeated 6-0, 6-0 by Kraft at No. 5, and Moen fell 6-2, 6-0 to Cheyenne Tucker at No. 6.

Wisconsin Lutheran returns to conference action on Wednesday when it hosts Concordia Chicago (0-6, 0-3 NACC) at 7 p.m. at Hart Park in Wauwatosa.
