GREEN BAY, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2026 season with a fourth-place finish at the Tom Barry Invitational on Saturday at Shorewood Cross Country Course.
The Warriors totaled 128 points to secure fourth in the eight-team field. MSOE won the team title with 26 points, while Noah Jahnke of Green Bay won the individual 6K title with a time of 18:34.76.
Senior
Arnold Rupnow (Watertown, Wis.) led the way for WLC, finishing 20th overall in the 130-runner field with a time of 20:04.55. Sophomore
Caleb Schreiber (Mukwonago, Wis.) followed in 25th place, crossing the finish line at 20:14.57.
Senior
Noah Micheel (Mequon, Wis.) placed 49th with a time of 21:01.23, and freshman Zachary Muenster (Freedom, Wis.) took 51st in his collegiate debut with a time of 21:06.45. Freshman
Zachary Haleem (Kenosha, Wis.) rounded out Wisconsin Lutheran's top five, finishing 66th with a time of 21:37.55.
The Warriors return to competition on Saturday, September 19 at the St. Olaf Invitational in Northfield, Minnesota. The men's 8K race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
