Austen Eppen is in his first season as head coach of the Wisconsin Lutheran College Esports program.

Eppen is a 2020 graduate of WLC with a bachelor's degree in sport and exercise science and holds a master's degree in athletic training from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. At Milwaukee, Eppen established, coached, and budgeted for five Rocket League teams.

The founder of WCRL, a Wisconsin-based Rocket League association built around college teams, Eppen oversaw 200 students and 31 teams across Wisconsin. During the end of the season, he planned the largest Rocket League tournament in the state where 16 teams came to compete for a trophy and prize pool.

In his free time, Eppen attends local events and supports local companies. He strives to educate newcomers and those unfamiliar with Esports about the growth and framework in a new, modern light. His medical background drives him to bridge the gap between Esports, exercise, nutrition, and the mental aspect of the sport. He wants to educate college students about the importance of moving their bodies to stay active.
