James Henry is in his first season as head coach of the Wisconsin Lutheran College esports program. Henry takes over leadership of the five-year-old Warriors program after spending the previous two years as an Overwatch specialist and team manager.

Henry brings extensive esports coaching experience to the position, including five years as a semi-professional assistant coach in Overwatch and Valorant. He also served as host of the WISHEA Spring Playoff in 2026.

Prior to his work in esports, Henry spent one year as a football coach at Fountain Valley High School, where he coached linebackers and running backs and served as assistant head coach for the freshman/sophomore team. He also spent one year as a Pop Warner assistant coach and was named Fountain Valley High School Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021.

A 2026 Wisconsin Lutheran College graduate, Henry earned a bachelor's degree in Sports Management after previously earning an associate degree in Kinesiology from Mt. San Antonio College in 2020.

Henry was a five-year collegiate football player at Wisconsin Lutheran College and Mt. San Antonio College, playing linebacker and defensive line. He was part of a conference championship team in 2019 and served as vice president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in 2018 and 2019. He was also named Coaches Player of the Year at Mt. SAC in 2019.

A native of Ontario, California, Henry graduated from Excellence In Education High School in Monrovia, California, in 2017.
