Steve Czech

Steve Czech is in his first season as pitching coach at Wisconsin Lutheran College and also serves as the Warriors’ head JV coach.

Czech brings four seasons of collegiate coaching experience from Carroll University, where he joined the staff in 2022 and coached in the highly competitive CCIW. During his tenure, Carroll produced multiple All-Conference selections, including Abby Curtis, who set the program’s single-season stolen base record in both 2024 and 2025. As pitching coach, Czech guided a large staff that consistently posted a sub-4.00 ERA, highlighted by a top-three conference mark of 3.30 in 2023.

In the summer of 2023, Czech served as an assistant coach with the Czech Republic National Softball Team, helping prepare the program for the WBSC Softball World Cup while competing against eight of the world’s top-25 teams, including Olympic gold medalist Japan. He also helped lead a youth camp for hundreds of European Little Leaguers alongside international and Olympic-level coaches.

Czech has extensive high school coaching experience, including serving as varsity head coach at Muskego High School from 2019–2022. He previously led the Muskego JV program to a 104–33 record before earning the varsity role, where he guided the program to multiple regional championships and numerous All-Conference and scholar-athlete honors. Earlier in his career, he coached at Eau Claire Memorial High School in various roles.

A graduate of UW–Eau Claire with a BBA in Information Systems, Czech is a WIAA and USA Softball certified umpire. He resides in Muskego with his wife, son, and two golden retrievers.
