Tanner Alsteen is in his first season as an assistant baseball coach at Wisconsin Lutheran College.

Alsteen joins the Warriors after a standout collegiate career as a pitcher at Marian University, where he competed from 2022-2025. During his four-year career with the Sabres, he helped lead the program to back-to-back Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament appearances in 2024 and 2025.

As a senior, Alsteen earned Second Team All-NACC honors after posting a 3.41 earned run average across 66 innings pitched. He highlighted his season with a complete-game shutout in the NACC Tournament and was named NACC Pitcher of the Week on April 8. He also received CSC Academic All-District recognition in both 2024 and 2025 and was a finalist for Marian's Male Student-Athlete of the Year award in 2025. Over his collegiate career, he logged 128.1 innings with a 4.63 ERA.

Prior to arriving at WLC, Alsteen gained coaching experience at multiple levels. In 2026, he served as the junior varsity head baseball coach at Luxemburg-Casco High School, guiding the Spartans to an 18-2 record, while also working as the varsity assistant pitching coach. He previously coached with Impact Sports Academy's 16U White team in 2024 and Five Star Wisconsin's 16U program in 2025.

A native of Casco, Alsteen graduated from Marian in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology.
