Sam Sturomski, a former four-year volleyball letterwinner atWisconsin Lutheran College, is in her third season as an assistantcoach for the WLC volleyball team. She served as the studentmanager of volleyball operations in 2009.

Playing in 205 games during her four-year (2005-2008) careerwith the Warriors, Sturomski finished with 200 kills, 121 digs, 61total blocks and 60 assists. She was the recipient of the WarriorAward in 2006 and 2007. An owner of one school record, Sturomskialso lettered in track & field for three seasons (2006-2009).She captured the conference title in the 55-meter hurdles (9.04) atthe 2009 NAC Indoor Championships. Sturomski graduated fromWisconsin Lutheran in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in biology.

Sturomski attended St. Francis High School where she was anAll-Parkland Conference Honorable Mention performer in basketballand volleyball for the Mariners. She also was a two-time conferencechampion in the hurdles.

Sturomski, from St. Francis, Wis., was born September 21, 1987.Today she lives in New Berlin, Wis., and is employed at the AuroraSt. Luke's Medical Center.
