HANCOCK, Mich. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball team wrapped-up its weekend on Saturday with wins over
Mount Mary College and Northland Baptist Bible College at Finlandia
University's Paavo Nurmi Center.
The Warriors began their day with a 3-0 (30-9, 30-17, 30-20)
sweep over Mount Mary College in a match that saw everyone on the
WLC roster see time on the court.
Megan Sankey (Waupun, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) finished with a
.538 hitting percentage on seven kills as 10 different players
recorded at least two kills in the match.
Ashley Madsen (Watertown, Wis./Luther Preparatory) recorded 14
assists, while Jaclyn Sack (Granger, Ind./Michigan Lutheran) added
16 digs.
Wisconsin Lutheran defeated Northland Baptist Bible College 3-1
(30-24, 30-26, 24-30, 30-23) in its final match of the day.
Erika Laete (Spokane, Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) led the way
offensively for the Warriors with nine kills, while also tallying
seven total blocks on the defensive end.
Madsen added 22 assists and Sankey finished with 23 digs.
Wisconsin Lutheran (8-15, 4-5 NAC) will be back in action on
Tuesday when it hosts conference-leading Lakeland College at 7
p.m.
