Powerful Muskies top Warriors in three games

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College volleyball team was knocked off 3-0 by the Northern Athletics Conference-leading Lakeland College Muskies on Tuesday night at the Recreation Complex.

The Warriors hung tough in all three games but eventually fell by scores of 30-19, 30-24 and 30-17.

Nicole Feldschneider (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) led WLC offensively with eight kills, while Jamie Matz (Hortonville, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) finished with 12 assists. Defensively, Megan Sankey (Waupun, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) tallied nine digs and Erika Laete (Spokane, Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) had three solo blocks.

Lakeland (15-11, 10-0 NAC) was led by Ashley Domask's 11 kills and Jessica Sparling's 31 assists.

Wisconsin Lutheran (8-16, 4-6 NAC) plays its final regular season home match on Friday night when it welcomes Maranatha Baptist Bible College to the Recreation Complex. The match, which also marks Senior Night and Parents' Night, begins at 7 p.m.
